With pleasure Luc and Valerie welcome you in their 16th century farmstead ,which is partly rebuild into a 6-10 persons gite, fitted with all modern conveniences.
Situated between mountains and forest, at the foot of the mont Mezenc, one can still enjoy nature in perfect tranquility. The gite is separared from the mainhouse and situated at a 4000 square meters garden south-east.

At 1200 meters altitude, at the GR7, with a breathtaking view at the mountains of the Ardeche, the mount Mezenc and mount Jerbier de Jonc, you can enjoy the treasures of wild nature.

In the surrounding there are many possibitlities for hiking and mountain biking, while you can fill up a basket, depending the season, with forestfruits like blueberries, raspberries, bream and mushrooms.

Devesset's landscape consists of mainly pine forests and green fields , covered in springtime with little daffodils. Wandering through the endless pine forests and meadows every season is uniquely different. Spring fills the meadows with narcissus and crocus followed by yellow broom, while the fields are covered by a carpet of wild flowers all season long. Wild orchids can be found only 100 metres from the farmhouse. Golden Eagles, Buzzards and Falcons are common visitors to our skies. And don't be surprised when you come face to face with a herd of deer or find a pair of stoats/ermine playing in the fields around.

Further local sports activities include the 18-hole golf course and tennis courts in Chambon, and water sports facilities, e.g. sailing, surfing, swimming on the Lac de Devesset only 2km from the residence (there is also an official sailing school here).
